Abraham Wise
International Trade Consultant
Abraham Wise is an international trade consultant and former U.S. diplomat with more than 25 years of experience handling trade matters between U.S. and foreign markets across Latin America, Asia, and Canada.
A graduate of Harvard Law School, Abraham began his career as a DC-based international trade lawyer before joining the U.S. Department of State, where he worked extensively on complex trade, investment, and communications issues.
During his diplomatic service, Abraham represented the United States at embassies in Bolivia, Mexico, China, and in the State Department’s Western Hemisphere Affairs office. There, he led public communications on migration issues in Latin America and represented the United States in negotiations with Canada on modernization of the Columbia River Treaty.
Today, as founder of Wise Consulting LLC, Abraham helps Pacific Northwest companies expand into international markets, navigate complex trade shifts, and maintain their workforce through work-based immigration.
Abraham splits his time between Seattle and the Yakima Valley. A native Spanish speaker, Abraham also speaks intermediate Mandarin Chinese. When not advising clients, you can find him exploring the Cascades with his family.
