Robin Twyman

Robin Twyman has been Head of the UK Government Office in Seattle since January 2013.  Robin’s role is to promote political, economic, and business ties between the UK and Washington State, with a particular focus on trade, investment, clean energy/environment, and innovation.  

Robin joined the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in 1987.   His diplomatic assignments have covered a range of foreign policy, security policy, communications and commercial diplomacy duties in Africa, the Middle East and Europe.  Robin has been in the United States since 2009, first serving as First Secretary (Trade Policy, Business Affairs & Agriculture) at the British Embassy in Washington DC before coming to Seattle to open and lead the UK Government Office.
